Treasure lies ahead
How will you cast your fire upon the world in which we live?
You are living by your ego judgement system all the time. Love and yet be aware of this as it throws dark shadows and strong delusions, mirrors, and traps that can prevent you from being in your true essence. It generates a persona and wants to convince you that it protects and serves you now and forever. The persona that wants to avoid shame, that wants to be loved, that looks for approval and avoids discomfort.
You can work with your ego. Use it as a guide. It is part of you, and yet a lover of unhelpful illusions, so learn to love to know it. Rejoice in the knowledge it offers. You will learn in time that it encourages you to play small and stay safe by firing up your emotions of anger and embarrassment and indignation, your fear of fear itself. It will continually shout “don’t go there!” and you’ve been listening to that advice whether you understood or not all this time. But go towards these emotions, the promise of pain and humiliation, and then go further still. Swim towards the uncertainty in the face of that advice, hear “treasure lies ahead!” instead. Understand and see the true source of these emotions and see their power evaporate away in the full face of awareness.
Then you can keep what you know is useful (true) and let go of that which is not.
And what of your true essence? There is such a thing. It comes up and whispers, and talks, and sings. And those who have heard deeply these rhythms and hymns can recite them in such a way that all beings will be attracted unable to deny the truth from which these songs have arisen. This source of brilliance is in your own heart. Follow the footsteps to that centre and know that you are that which the brilliant are born of.
